March 18–20, 2015
Darmstadtium Science and Conference Center

Taking stock at the end of its second funding period, the DFG-funded research training group Topology of Technology at Technische Universität Darmstadt invites you to its final conference.

How do technologies shape, create and modify social spaces? How do spaces, in turn, shape technologies? Discussing these questions at the Technospaces conference, members and friends of the research group will bring together scholars from history, computer science, literature, engineering, philosophy, sport science, sociology and urban planning.

With our international guests, we focus on themes such as topologies of workplaces, the alignment of power in war zones and sovereign territories, the modeling of life forms and environments by biotechnologies, the relevance of transportation infrastructure and communication technology in constructing social spaces, the influence of visual entities on concepts of nature and materiality, and the influence of visualization technologies in changing spatial perceptions.

Three days, three rooms, three streams, nine panels, thirty-six sessions, and two evening talks featuring Angelika Epple, Kathrin Passig, and Niels Werber. With Suzana Alpsancar, Jenny Bauer, Jakob Birken, Luise Borek, Andreas Brenneis, Irene Breuer, Volker Briese, Catarina Caetano da Rosa, Lutz Danneberg, Robert Julio Decker, Kai Denker, Manuel Dietrich, Melanie Dietz, Aleksandra Dominiak, Donna Drucker, Angelika Epple, Jörg Flecker, Alexandra Florea, Fraya Frehse, Lars Frers, Alexander Friedrich, Pauline Gabillet, Petra Gehring, Robert Groß, Herdis Hagen, Paul Haiduk, Mikael Hård, Sergej Hardock, Ute Hasenöhrl, Nicole Hesse, Kaire Holts, Oliver Honer, Christoph Hubig, Jens Jäger, Gregor Kanitz, Sina Keesser, Cagatay Keskinok, Matthias Kettner, Martin Knoll, Eric Laurier, Peter Lenhart, Christian Lenk, Michael Liegl, Ulrike Lindner, Jessica Longen, Antje Matern, Jochen Mayer, Julianne Nyhan, Stefan Panzer, Bronwyn Parry, Kathrin Passig, Dejan Petkov, Ilia Petrov, Andrea Rapp, Manuel Reinhard, Yvonne Rogers, Caroline Roth-Ebner, Rudi Schmiede, Bahar Sen, Ruth Sonderegger, Anna Spatz, Dierk Spreen, Nora Thorade, Gül Tucaltan, David Uttal, Kristof van Laerhoven, Silke Vetter-Schultheiss, David Waldecker, Heike Weber, Marie-Christin Wedel, Niels Werber, Josef Wiemeyer, Mascha Will-Zocholl, Anna-Katharina Wöbse and Annika Wolff.
